EPF includes ASB2 in EPF MIS

Kuala Lumpur: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has inclued the Amanah Saham Bumiputera 2 (ASB2) into its member's investment scheme (EPF MIS) list of approved funds."With the addition of the ASB2, there are nine funds offered under the EPF MIS managed by Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd," said the EPF in a statement Friday.The scheme allows members to transfer part of their savings in Account 1 for investments in approved unit trust funds through Fund Management Institutions (FMIs), and offering them the option to enhance their retirement savings. Members will be duly advised on the effective date of listing of ASB2 into the EPF MIS.Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced during the tabling of the 11th Malaysia Plan that Bumiputera individual equity ownership would be enhanced by allowing withdrawal from Account 1 of the EPF to purchase units of the ASB2. – Bernama
