Junior Rhinos face Kelantan today

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Junior Rhinos will use the remaining President Cup matches to begin their preparation for next season starting with the tie against Kelantan today at the Likas Stadium.With nothing to play anymore, coach Justin Ganai told the players during their training session at the newly built synthetic pitch at the Likas Sports Complex on Tuesday that they should not let their guard down and they must learn from the experience to try to improve their game."There's no better way to use this matches than to start building for the future, beginning with Kelantan tomorrow.ADVERTISEMENT "The team are getting better in the last couple of matches but unfortunately it came too late. So the only hope is for them to continue to improve and ready for the next season as well as the Sukma Games in Kuching next year."He said the contract of the players will run until November and the players will continue their training session even though they would not be taking part in the knock out stages."Those who are still eligible next season will most likely to stay put and continue to train with some current under-19 players."We are trying to prepare early to make a strong impact in the new season as well as in the Kuching Sukma Games," he said.ADVERTISEMENT On the match today, he said Maxsius Musa has been given the green light to play for them and he will lead the attack with Rahman Shah . Another senior player Kenius Karib returned from suspension and will play in the centre defence with Rafis Etyin while Endre S Tipay will continue to man the post .Zulfadlisham Roseland and Randy Baruh will play as right and left back respectively while the midfield will have skipper Umareng Bacok and Saliun Mastar supported by O'Neil Shanahan and Azwan Fattah from the flanks.

The team are currently in seventh place with 14 points from 15 matches played while Kelantan are in fourth and final spot for the knockout stage with 24 points.Their next match is against Negri Sembilan on June 3 followed by the final match with Selangor PKNS FC here on June 10.
