Rotary, Maybank to hold charity golf tournament

Kota Kinabalu: The Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu and Maybank will jointly organise a Charity Golf tournament on Sunday June 7 to raise fund for the construction of a girls' hostel in Kg Bantayan, Tamparuli. The objective is to provide appropriate accommodation for the poverty stricken indigenous girls from the remote interior to attend schools in Tamparuli, which otherwise would not be accessible to them due to the distances from their village homes and the various dangers confronting them along the way.The tournament will be held over two sessions at Sutera Harbour Golf & Country Club (SHGCC) teeing off at 7.00am and 12.30pm. Lunch will be provided for all registered participants.

Highlight of the tournament will be 'Hole in One' prizes worth a total of RM1.3 million from all the four Par 3 holes.Several novelty prizes and attractive lucky draw prizes will be on offer to supplement the hole in one.
