Last Kenchana of UMS crowned champion

Kota Kinabalu: The Last Kenchana was crowned champion of the University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Tun Mustapha College Residence Futsal and Badminton Championships at the Tun Adnan Sports Complex in Yayasan Sabah here on Saturday.The UMS representative team defeated compatriot, Garuda FC in the final while third and fourth place went to Pheonix Ir of UMS and the Last Minute from UiTM respectively.As for the badminton competition, Rahmat Amirul from Mara Skills Institute (IKM) won the men's singles title after defeating James Liaw representing INTI College.

For the women's singles, the title was won by Farhah Nazihah of PTPL College followed by UMS representative, Fitry Adleena as the first runners-up while Nur Zulaika of Cosmopoint College in third place.UMS men's doubles, Mohd Afiq Sulaiman and Mohd Nizam Ramon won the title after defeating the pairing of Mohd Rahmat Amirul and Fairul Haridi Bandar of IKM.The women's doubles category was won by Farhah Nazihah of PTPL together with her partner Fitry Adleena of UMS while UMS women's doubles, Nishah and Iznie Juzailah and the pairing from INTI College, Lam Ying and Wei Yong Hui Ying, finish the tournament in second and third place respectively.A total of 16 teams compete in the futsal tournament while a total of 50 participants took part in the men's and women's singles and doubles badminton categories.
