TM, U Mobile seals deal on network connectivity

Kuala Lumpur: Telekom Malaysia Bhd ™ will provide network connectivity to U Mobile Sdn Bhd, with immediate effect. Global and Wholesale Executive Vice-President Rozaimy Rahman said the TM would utilise its Next Generation Backhaul (NGBH) services for nine years."This is in line with our aspiration to become the preferred partner in fulfilling end-to-end ICT and connectivity requirements," he said.

Rozaimy also said TM would provide fibre mobile backhaul connectivity of up to 1Gps per site that would cover the central, southern, eastern and northern regions of Malaysia.TM NGBH is a fiberised point-to-point backhaul connectivity network specifically to support 4G Long Term Evolution rollout."NGBH will provide high-speed Internet experience, excellent voice and video quality through its high bandwidth capacity and reliable low latency."This partnership is seen as a positive move towards delivering enhanced service experience to Malaysians," he said after signing the memorandum of agreement to facilitate the connectivity.

Rozaimy also said by leasing wholesale bandwidth services, U Mobile would be able to gain quick access to fibre infrastructure. - Bernama"We are on track in terms of network expansion and with this collaboration it will help us enhance customer experience," said U Mobile Chief Technology Officer Too Tian Jen.
