Duo for SAGA in Tawau

Putatan: Shotokan Karate Association of Sabah (SKAS) will be sending two karatekas to represent the district in the 7th Sabah Games (SAGA) in Tawau.They will start their campaign at SMK Abdullah 2 multipurpose hall in Semporna on June 1 and 2.

The two SKAS representatives are Jay Caljmulia Abd Rahman who will be competing in the Male Individual Kumite above 84+kg and Netteli Khoo Kim Yoke in the Female Individual Kumite below 55kg.

"This is our second attempt at the Saga Games and it will be the first state level competition for Netteli while Jay has been competing regularly in the state and national level tournaments.

"I am confident that they will perform to the best of their abilities, as they have been training very hard to prepare for the Games.

"Let's hope for fair play and good sportsmanship shown throughout the Games and may the best athletes chosen to bring glory for the State in the upcoming Sukma Games," said Simon Chia, the Chief Instructor of SKAS.
