Kinabalu Park temporarily off limits to visitors

Kota Kinabalu: The Kinabalu Natural History Gallery, Poring Hot Springs, including the canopy walk, Butterfly Farm, Kipungit Waterfall and Langanan Waterfall, will be closed to visitors with immediate effect, a statement from the Sabah Parks said on Monday. Earlier, Sabah Parks had announced the closure of Mount Kinabalu to climbers for three weeks following a magnitude 5.9 earthquake in Ranau, which claimed the lives of 18 climbers.
