Antabax national hygiene campaign

Putatan: The State-level launch of Antabax National Hygiene Month campaign was held at Sekolah Kebangsaan Pekan Putatan Wednesday, carrying an important healthcare message. It specially-choreographed clapping and stomping routine set to a catchy a capella version of the Antabax "Gosok-gosok" melody to reinforce good hygiene habit. Antabax, an antibacterial personal care range, in collaboration with the health and education ministries, is embarking on an interactive educational drive to raise awareness and encourage better general hygiene practices among children.

The campaign will directly benefit students from more than 30 primary schools across Malaysia and aimed at reducing the spread of communicable diseases among students. It runs nationwide throughout the month of May, June and July 2015.

The campaign features the first national Clap ("Clean your hands, Learn correct hand hygiene, Apply the correct hand washing steps and Practice makes perfect") competition. The competition offers total cash prizes of RM32,000 under four categories – primary, secondary, tertiary and open (for those who are not students).

The competition is open to all Malaysians in these categories. Contestants are required to record a video of their creative clapping and a capella rendition of the Antabax theme song (30 seconds) and of another song of their choice for another 30 seconds.
