Johor: Johor aims to attract more tourists from Asean countries via its business-to-business (B2B) sales missions to various countries this year. State Tourism, Trade and Consumerism Committee chairman, Datuk Tee Siew Kiong, said the B2B promotions were expected to give better impact. "We can match tour agencies in both destinations. This year we will undertake promotion missions to Ho Chi Minh City and Indonesia," he told reporters at Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Foon Yew 5, on Sunday.ADVERTISEMENT Tee said in January, the first B2B mission was to Myanmar in conjunction with Asean Travel Forum.He said other than the attractive destination to visit, the flights that directly connected Senai to other international destinations were also another attractive factor to attract tourists to Johor."Other than Ho Chi Minh Cityu, five key cities in Indonesia, Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Yogyakarta and Lombok, also had direct flight connections from Senai," he said. In 2014, the state attracted over 20,979 tourists, with 80 per cent from Singapore.
