Kuala Lumpur: All illegal immigrants in Malaysia will be deported back to their countries of origin before the approximate 1.5 million Bangladeshi workers are brought into the country. Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said discussions had been held with ambassadors of the source countries on repatriating their citizens. Clarifying the statement he made last week, Zahid said most of the Bangladeshi workers would be replacing the Indonesian workers who had previously worked in the plantation sector.
