Chong Wei wins Canada Open

Kuala Lumpur: National badminton ace Datuk Lee Chong Wei achieved a back-to-back victory after clinching the 2015 Canada Open in Calgary Sunday. The victory will certainly be a big boost for the 32-year-old Penangite who now stands at 99th in the world ranking as he aims to make his third appearance in an Olympics Games, in Rio de Janeiro next year.

Chong Wei made his return to international badminton after serving an eight-month backdated penalty for having failed a drug test, and helped the national team to win the bronze medal at the recent 2015 Singapore SEA Games. – Bernama
