Sandakan: The 1Malaysia Community (K1M) members must make full use of the social media to spread useful information and revoke all negative allegations towards the government. "You should also equip yourself with current information, be aware of the development of latest issues and share valid information to the community so that the people will not get confused," said Information Department Director Datuk Almain Ajirul during the Iftar Ramadhan Sehati Sejiwa programme together with the Sandakan Division 1Malaysia Community at Ibis Styles Hotel here.

There were a total of 10 asnafs, mualafs, senior citizens, hardcore poor individuals, widows and single mothers who were present to receive tithes from the Sabah Tithe Centre (PZS).

According to Almain, the event was held to strengthen the ties between the department staff as well as all K1M members.

He also took the opportunity to offer his condolence to the mountain guides who perished during the earthquake incident on June 5.

Earlier, he thanked all those who were involved in making the event a successful one.
