Kota Kinabalu: Sabah PAS remains steadfast to the party's central leadership on the issue of the Gerakan Harapan Baru (GHB).Sabah PAS Deputy Commissioner III, Hamid Ismail said they had a meeting on Monday chaired by Commissioner Aminuddin Aling that basically stated Sabah Pas' stand on the matter.Asked if there was any Sabah PAS leaders joining GHB, a splinter party of PAS, Hamid said so far there was none but it was also decided at the meeting that those intending to do so should first resign from the party.

However, he said he had gathered information from the social media that Pas Batu Sapi chief, Hamzah Abdullah had resigned from the party."Although we don't know if he is going to GHB," he said.
It was reported that the new party, GHB had been rumoured to replace Pas, which had severed ties with DAP, in the opposition coalition launched on Jul 13.

It was launched by several senior Pas leaders who lost during the party elections as an effort to unite the opposition parties.
