Kuala Lumpur: Ski Malaysia are committed to ensure potential Malaysian skiers take part in international competitions to qualify for the Winter Olympics.Ski Malaysia President Tan Sri Shahril Shamsuddin said the association was established three years ago and aimed to promote the sport and create history by sending Malaysian representatives to the Winter Olympics.

"Our plan for the athletes and this sport will be announce on Aug 3. The athletes must compete at the highest international level and maybe one day we can send our athletes to the Winter Olympics," he told reporters after signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Genting Resort Secret Garden Chairman Datuk Lim Chee Wah at Wisma OCM, here Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Lim said Genting Resort Secret Garden would become the training ground for Malaysian athletes and also for skiers from other Southeast Asian countries.
