Valuing heritage via wildlife fest

Sandakan: The Borneo Rhythms of Rimba (ROR) Wildlife Festival is back for the second instalment this weekend, at the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), Sepilok, here.ROR2015 is organised by Future Alam Borneo (FAB) Society in partnership with the Protective Action for Wildlife in Sabah through Education (Pawse) initiative.FAB Chairman Anton Ngui said the two-day outdoor festival brings wildlife and rainforest conservation content to the public in a unique "experiential education" format.ADVERTISEMENT Ngui said, ROR2015 will encourage people to truly value their natural heritage and "take on a more conscientious and sustainable responsibility.""With the theme 'Biodiversity and our Future', ROR2015 is inspired both by our unique ecosystems here as well as the breadth of amazing people and ideas that will be coming together for this effort," he added.The festival which starts on Saturday will feature four zones of content and interaction – Conservation and Environment, Adventure, Creative and Music.Salad Dressing who spent over three weeks building their Treetop Cinema on site will do a live showcasing of the feature Sandokan, straight from Italy during the festival.ADVERTISEMENT Clips from Borneo Eco Film Festival's Suara Komuniti films will also be shown and the Moab Monkeys will also present their Human Nest experience.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
