Radin: Am I not a Murut and full State Minister?
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) should keep abreast with the political situation in Sabah by realising that there is already a Murut (one of the native ethnic groups in Sabah) who is a full Minister in the State Cabinet.Minister of Rural Development Datuk Radin Malleh, who said this, reminded State PKR Chairman Datuk Lajim Ukin that he (Radin) is a full Murut and a full Minister at the State level.

"I am a full Murut who has been elected as Melalap assemblyman and appointed as State Minister of Rural Development," he said in a statement, here, Wednesday.

Radin said Lajim was either ignorant of the political scenario in the State or was intentionally trying to mislead the people of Tenom with misinformation, grandiose promises and political rhetoric.

He said Lajim should not make a fuss of the culture of giving "udang" (prawns) and other seafood to visitors and guests from outside Sabah because the culture had been practised for a long time, adding that as a former State Minister for Agriculture, Lajim was not alien to the practice.

Radin said Lajim should also not be petty and talk about prawns and candidacy just to gain political mileage.

"Let us not pretend that all were well in Sabah PKR when Lajim was appointed as the State PKR chairman. The PKR political masters in Kuala Lumpur were also puppet masters in that decision, which led to some pioneering Sabah PKR leaders abandoning the party," he said.

Radin said Lajim should stop the political rhetoric about reforms because good policies and programmes were already in place under the current Barisan Nasional (BN) government.

He said there was no necessity for Lajim to talk about strengthening the State's administration and finance because it had been achieved under BN since a long time ago.

Radin said PKR and its partners in the opposition should put their house in order first before hurling criticism at BN.
