Hunting for talented S'kan archers

Kota Kinabalu: A total of 35 students from eight schools in Sandakan attended a Talent Identification Development programme (TID) recently.The two-day programme was jointly organised by Sabah Sports Council , Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan Institute of Sports as well as Sabah State Archery Association (SSAA).According to SSAA President, Datuk Hj. Zainie Abdul Aucasa, it was successfully conducted at the Sandakan Sports Complex Archery Range from Sept 19-20.

"It was a very successful prgoramme with the big turnout and the students came from SMK Elopura 2, SK Taman Rimba, SMK Tun Juhar, SK St. Monica, SJK©. Pui Gin, SJK © Chi Hwa, SM Yu Yuan and SK. Kg. He added that they will be conducting the next TID in Tawau in the middle of this month (Oct).Zainie in his closing speech thanked Sabah Sports Council and the Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan Institute of Sports for their support and he also supported the idea to set up a district training centre in Sandakan.
