PNB committed to educating youths

Kuala Lumpur: Permodalan Nasional Bhd is committed to educating the public, especially the youths, on making the best investment and financial planning decisions.President/Chief Executive Officer Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said one of the fund's activities, the PNB Investment Quiz (Secondary Schools Category) which began in April, attracted over 22,792 participants from 917 schools nationwide."PNB will continue with similar programmes in order to educate them about the world of investment," he said after presenting prizes to the winners.

Meanwhile, PNB Chairman Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said the fund currently manages 201.41 billion units held by 12.48 million unit holders, of whom 443,530 are aged between 13 and 18 years old."Other investment education activities organised by PNB are the Malaysian Unit Trust Week, 1Malaysia 360-Day Investment Seminar and PNB Smart Investment Club," he added. – Bernama
