Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Shareda) President Datuk Francis Goh on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on Mayor Datuk Abidin Madingkir.During the call, Francis, who recently commented that City Hall (DBKK) took too long to approve Building or Development Plans, was given a briefing by Abidin.According to the Mayor, DBKK had to seek and wait for comments from 12 relevant government departments and agencies before approval could be given.ADVERTISEMENT "It is not as if DBKK can approve an application on the spot by itself or much less delaying an approval on purpose. Rules are rules," Abidin was quoted as having said.Francis said he was very satisfied and happy with the Mayor's reply and thanked him for his explanation."I was merely voicing the concern of some of the Shareda members, but I now have a clearer picture," he said.Earlier, Francis accompanied Federation of Sabah and Labuan Chinese Associations President John Lim Yu Sin to pay a courtesy call on the Mayor.ADVERTISEMENT During the call, Lim received the good news from Abidin that DBKK had approved the application for the Building or Development Plan of the Association's proposed building complex at Karamunsing.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
