Kota Kinabalu: Anti-dam activist group, Taskforce Against Kaiduan Dam has sought the advice of Australian environmentalist Robert James Brown on the latter's success in executing his environmental campaigns to stop the construction of the hydroelectric dam in Tasmania. A letter was sent by the group's mobiliser named Nelson Raymond. In it, Raymond asked Brown on his efforts and tips to carry out the Taskforce campaign, indicating to the seasoned environmentalist that the Sabah government is sending misleading information about the proposed Kaiduan Dam.He noted that the government also has not responded to their memorandum after handing it over at the State Legislative Assembly seven years ago. He said letters sent to agencies and government departments were also not entertained.
