PNB declares 6.20 sen income distribution for ASN 3

Kuala Lumpur: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), wholly-owned unit of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), Monday announced an income distribution of 6.20 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Nasional 3 Imbang (ASN 3), for financial year ended Nov 30, 2015. PNB Chairman, Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid, said the income distribution was the same as last year's.He said total payment was higher at RM67.28 million, an increase of 31.3 per cent, from RM51.24 million distributed last year. ADVERTISEMENT "The income distribution for ASN 3 was comparable with payments from other financial instruments," he told a media briefing after announcing the income distribution here Monday.He said the performance of ASN 3 was reasonable considering that the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI has declined 8.7 per cent from November 2014 to November 2015.Ahmad Sarji said 35.5 per cent, or RM21.22 million of the income came from dividend distribution from investee companies, about 31.6 per cent, or RM18.98 million was from sale of shares and the remaining 33.1 per cent, or RM19.86 million was from other instruments."The income distribution will benefit 37,121 unitholders holding 1.09 billion units of ASN 3," he said.ADVERTISEMENT Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

The income distribution would be automatically reinvested and credited into the unitholders' investment book on Dec 1, 2015 based on the net asset of ASN on Nov 30, 2015, he said.He said for unitholders under the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), the income distribution would be credited into the respective EPF accounts. – Bernama
