Agrobank signs RM112m banking facilities with Salcra

Kuala Lumpur: Agrobank has signed a RM112 million banking facilities for the Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (Salcra) to part finance the latter's new palm oil mill in Lubok Antu, Sri Aman. "Agrobank is happy to be supporting Salcra with this new development plan to build a palm oil mill in Lubok Antu, as well as other working capital requirements," Agrobank President/Chief Executive Officer Datuk Wan Mohd Fadzmi Wan Othman said in a statement here.

He said Agrobank was proud to support Salcra's projects and initiatives to develop lands for agriculture purposes for the growth and progress of rural communities in Sarawak.

As a bank that understands agriculture, Agrobank provides comprehensive financing solutions for agriculture upstream and downstream activities.

Meanwhile, Sacra Chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr Alfred Jabu Numpang said Salcra's collaboration with Agrobank is a natural progression as both organisations shared mutual and common focus towards agricultural progress, particularly for rural development.

Salcra's main objective is to improve the well-being of the rural communities through the development of lands for plantations.
