Musa happy with progress of S'kan projects
Sandakan: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman is satisfied with the progress of development projects, here, including the people housing project (PPR).He said those who would be receiving the units should take good care of their houses and ensure cleanliness.

"This is our way…the Barisan Nasional is always attentive and concerned for the people needs when constructing PPR as well as providing basic amenities such as roads, community halls and mosques, among others.

"Looking at the development of PPR here where many have been completed and the most important the occupants would take good care of their houses so that the residential looks organised and perfect," he said.

Musa who is also Sibuga assemblyman said this after his working visit to PPR Lupak Meluas and to a construction site of a mosque at Lupak Meluas situated in Batu Sapi parliamentary, Tuesday.

Prior to this, Musa and his State Cabinet as well as head of government departments and heads of security forces in Sabah also attended a briefing on development and security at the Sandakan Municipal Council (MPS) and visited the site of the Native Court here that is under construction.

Among those present were Deputy Chief Minister cum Industrial Development Minister Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah, State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor, Special Tasks Minister Datuk Teo Chee Kang. Federal Secretary to Sabah Datuk Borhan Dolah, Local Government and Housing Assistant Minister Datuk Zakaria Edris, Sabah Police Commissioner DCP Dato' Rashid Harun, Sabah Development Officer Ruji Ubi and Esscom Chief Executive Officer Noor Alam Khan.

Musa said the State Government will conduct official working visits to other districts to find out problems faced by the people and to see progress of projects that have been implemented.

He hoped the people would render full cooperation to MPS and the district offices in Sabah, especially in regard to community development.

At a luncheon later, Musa said cooperation between the leaders and people are important as well as being the eyes and ears for the government to address the people's needs and problems.

He also presented contributions to fire victims at Kg. Sungai Kayu Hujung, Mile 7 here where three houses were destroyed last Saturday.

He advised the fire victims to be patient as the government will continue to render assistance so that they could build their houses.

Musa also advised the people here to be careful due to current hot dry spell where fires often happen and for the parents to ensure their children do not play with fire.
