UMS achieve their six-gold target

Kota Kinabalu: Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) finally achieved their target of six gold medals in the 2016 Malaysian Institutions of Higher Learning Games (SUKIPT) at University Teknologi Malayisa (UTM) in Johore, Wednesday.Karate lass Christina Ederis won the sixth gold with a 2-1 win over her opponent Siti Hajar Mohd Azhar in the individual kumite event for the 68kg.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

They also added one more silver in the men's javelin from Max Anzie Jetol and four more bronzes from Max Anzie Jetol (shotputt), Williary Cristen Linom (javelin), Jvan Jvander Johwas (long jump) and Mathavan Vickneswaran (karate kumite).

UMS had a day earlier won it's fifth gold from long jumper Anna Lydia with a leap of 5.10m. They are currently in sixth place in the table standing with six golds, four silvers and 10 bronzes.
