Kaamatan panel calls on Musa

Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman on Wednesday received a courtesy visit from the State-level Kaamatan Festival organising committee from Tenom at his official residence here. The delegates were led by Tenom District Officer cum Organising Chairman for the event Madiyem Layapan, along with Rural Development Minister Datuk Radin Malleh, who is the patron of the committee.

Also present were Tenom Member of Parliament cum committee adviser Datuk Raimie Unggi and other committee members.

The visit was to invite Musa to attend the event scheduled to be held in Tenom.

Musa is expected to be present at the Kaamatan dinner on April 30 and launch the State level Kaamatan Festival on May 1.

Numerous programmes have been planned in conjunction with the event including the Sugandoi Competition on April 29, Healthy Living Programme, Semarak Komuniti 1 Malaysia and a concert.

An all Murut song concert will also be held at 7pm on April 30.

Various artistes like Apiang Sausun, Ronnie Bahan, Frank Paul, Pontiud Motingil, Aprilissa Sue Ann, Jack Keydeet, Sharin Amud, Rubisa Tiasin, Geo Allen George are expected to perform during the harvest festival launching.
