Ex-S'kan OCS dies of blood cancer

Sandakan: Former Sandakan Officer-in-Charge of Station, ASP Ishak Ismail passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu at about 7.40am on Wednesday.Ishak, 44, who had blood cancer is survived by his wife and four children aged between six and 14. His remains were flown on a police aircraft from Kota Kinabalu and taken to his home in Taman Fajar Perdana here and he was buried at the Muslim cemetery at Mile 11, on Wednesday afternoon. Ishak served as Officer-in-Charge of Station from Oct 17, 2010 to the middle of last year before he was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department at the State police headquarters. District Police Chief ACP Zabidi Md Zain described Ishak who had a degree in Information Technology as a hardworking officer.
