MENUMBOK: The wait by Kg Sangkabok residents as well as of the surrounding areas to enjoy better roads is finally over, now that the government has approved an upgrading project, involving an allocation of RM30 million.Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun said the paving work for the 3.7km road also involved roads in the Kg Lambidan and Tanjung Aru."The project will be implemented as soon as the related processes are completed in the near future.

"Work on this upgrade also includes the construction of five new bridges, thus solving the issues faced by the people in the affected areas for a long time. "It also will benefit more than 1,000 families since this road leads to the nearby town," she said after opening the Beaufort Parliamentary Jejak Kasih tour at Kg Sangkabok here on Monday.
Earlier, Azizah, who is also Beaufort MP announced a special allocation to build a new multipurpose hall in Kg Sangkabok involving an allocation of RM100,000.She said the requirement is justified to provide many benefits to the local communities.

"The construction will be initiated as soon as possible to meet the aspirations of the people in this area who have long been expecting this kind of facility."This initiative also demonstrates that the government, especially under the administration of Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is always concerned with the needs of the people, regardless of race or religion," she said.
