'Time to return Merotai to Umno'

Tawau: Wanita Umno Kalabakan believes the time has come for the Merotai seat to be returned to Umno in the upcoming general election.Its Chief Chaya Sulaiman said this is because in the past three elections, Umno had worked really hard to campaign for candidates from Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) who stood in the constituency."However, during these years, we heard various complaints and grievances from the people there who wish that they are represented by Umno instead," she said.

Chaya said the statement by Umno Kalabakan Chief Datuk Seri Abdul Ghapur Salleh reflects the true voice and desire of the people in the constituency.She added if Merotai is not represented by Umno, Barisan Nasional (BN) faces the risk of losing the seat because many of the voters refuse to support candidates from other parties but Umno in the coming election.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
