Lahad Datu: Civil servants are urged to equip themselves with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) knowledge to provide better service to the people.Lahad Datu Assemblyman Datuk Mohd Yusof Apdal said civil servants should also master the application related to their service in order to be able to provide quality and efficient service.

"Each member of the public service must always strive to provide excellent service including getting involved in activities such as sport, volunteer and community work to improve the image of their organisations," he said.

Yusof said this in his speech delivered by Ir Rajesh Mohd Yusof while officiating the ICT Seminar here organised by State Computer Service Department (Lahad Datu branch) on Thursday. According to Yusof, ICT users especially civil servants should always be prepared so they will be not left behind.

He said such seminar is timely as it is in line with the government's effort to develop in terms of ICT system, particularly in the government delivery system.
