Kota Kinabalu: Coach Vjeran Simunic will apply the same tactic as he did on Tuesday when Sabah Rhinos take on Perlis again in the reverse tie of the Premier League match at the Stadium Tuanku Syed Putra in Kangar tonight (Friday)."The team are doing well at the moment and the players seemed to prefer the 3-4-3 formation that we employed in the past few matches so there is no need to make a big change in our approach to the game.

"We will continue to play with three defenders with Igor Cerina, Rawilson Batuil and Jenuis Karib.

Since I made the tactical change in the match against Kuala Lumpur when we were 2-0 down and ended with a 2-3 loss, other teams have found it hard to play against us after that.

"We were never outplayed by all the top teams in the league. Yes, no doubt we lost some of the matches but most were by very slim margins and we could have won some of them as well.

"The team are progressing very well since day one and I always wanted others to give the team a chance.

"Just be patient with us because we are not a big spending team and many of the players hardly featured in the senior team last season, so in terms of performance I would say they performed remarkably well and above expectation."

He said the only change he is likely to make is to make room for midfielder Azizon Nordin who is available after serving his one-match suspension.

"Azizon is a very important player for us and I will play him in tomorrow's match. With Prince Nnake and Dedi Kusnandar doubtful after they suffered slight knocks in the previous match, I may play a 3-5-2 formation and the decision will only be made tomorrow.

"I am not worried with our attacking option because we have Leopold Alfonso, Maxsius Musa, Umareng Bacok, Nnake and even Alto Linus can play the same role.

"Our opponents Perlis are a very ambitious team. They got Dollah Salleh to come in as coach and also got themselves expensive import players but we are not scared of that.

"The match on Tuesday showed that we can match them in every department.

"The important thing for us is to convert our chances. We had plenty of chances during the match against them on Tuesday but only managed one goal. That is okay, I wasn't angry or disappointed as we are in the rebuilding process and I am sure the goals will finally come and hopefully tomorrow."

The Rhinos' next match is against Negeri Sembilan next Tuesday (May 24) here at the Likas Stadium before the season takes a break and resumes in July.
