SEB: Hydropower devt costs cannot be accurately priced

Kuching: It is the nature of hydropower development that there will be some costs that cannot not be accurately priced at the beginning of its construction such as in the Murum hydropower dam.Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) Corporate Communication Department manager Ahadiah Zamhari said instead such costs were treated as provisional, with the final cost being determined by the physical conditions actually encountered at the site."In the case of Murum hydropower dam, these provisional costs are expected and planned for from the beginning," she said when responding to the suggestion of "additional costs" in the First Series of the A-G's Report 2015 on the dam, which was released recently.
