Kota Kinabalu: Sabah KDMM FC are without key players when they take on Group B leaders and unbeaten Perak PKNP FC at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh tonight.Former Rhinos skipper and defender Rosdin Wasli and midfielder Zuraindey Jumai failed their final fitness test before the team travelled to Perak and the absence of the experienced pair is a blow to the team as they try to make the top four in the group stage.

Club President Datuk Peter Anthony said striker Mohd Helmi Sudin is staying back to serve out his suspension while winger Anwari Mohd Tajuddin will not be featured as well as he has not recovered from injuries.

"The situation does not seem favourable to us because of the absence of these four players, especially Rosdin and Zuraindey. However, we still have enough players and we have to be willing to take the risk in a situation like this.

I believe the players who will be entrusted with the task are ready and willing to give the best.

"It is a difficult task, but in football, anything can happen. Of course we will love to win and grab all three points but we will be satisfied if we managed to bring back a point under such circumstances."

KDMM FC are currently in fifth place with 10 points from two wins, four draws and three losses.

They are only one point behind fourth place KL UKM FC and only the top four from the group will qualify for the knock-out stage.
