Kota Kinabalu: Aaric and her sister, Aidah ruled supreme in the recent Kota Kinabalu Table Tennis Open singles event.Aaric was stretched to the limit before overcoming David Ho 3-2 in the final to lift the open title. The champion had earlier defeated his sister Aidah 3-0 in the semifinal while David also registered the same score against Chia Tzee Wee.

In the Perpaduan category, Aidah, who is the current women state singles champion beat Joshua Chin 3-1 in the final.In the semifinals, both Aidah and Joshua defeated their respective opponents, Chong Su Phin and Ismawi Ismail with an identical 3-1 victory.
A total of 85 players took part in the tournament which was organised by Alan Au Table Tennis Club.Alan, a former state player, presented the prizes to the winners.
