23 civil servants held by Perlis MACC over fraudulent claims

KANGAR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission in Perlis detained 23 civil servants on May 24 and May 25 in connection with fraudulent claims in 2015.State MACC Director Yaacop Angah said the 23 including two women from various agencies were roped in to facilitate investigations. They have since been released on MACC bail."Investigations revealed they bought receipts from budget hotels in Kuala Lumpur for RM10 and submitted claims for between RM160 and RM220 (according to their entitlement based on grade)," he said in a statement issued by MACC Thursday.
