Ensure escalators safe for use, Niosh urges building managements

Kuala Lumpur: The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Niosh) has urged building management to ensure their escalators are safe for use especially during heavy usage such as school holidays.In a statement here Saturday, its Chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye said escalators in public building and shopping complexes need to be checked and inspected by the relevant authority more frequently to ensure its safety.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
