60-year-old killed in accident
Lahad Datu: A 60-year old man was killed in an accident at Km 27 along Lahad Datu-Sandakan road on Monday.Rahman Lagi, driving a Toyota Fortuner, was heading towards Kota Kinabatangan from Lahad Datu when the mishap occurred at about 4.20pm.

District Police Chief, ACP Hamzah Ahmad said preliminary investigation found the victim had lost control of his vehicle and skidded to the right side of the road.

"The vehicle then rammed into oil palm trees. The victim was taken to the district hospital but was pronounced dead while receiving treatment," he said.

According to Hamzah, during the incident the road was slippery due to rain.
