Kota Kinabalu: The State Ministry of Local Government and Housing will step in to assist buyers of the 1Sulaman condominium project now that the High Court has declared its developer, Sagujuta (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, as wound-up. Its Minister, Datuk Seri Hj Hajiji Hj Noor said with the High Court ruling, he and his officers would discuss the next course of action.

"The possible action include declaring the project as abandoned so that we can appoint a new developer to take over," he said, in response to a Daily Express front page report, Wednesday. He added that his Ministry had in fact, held a few meetings with the more than 200 buyers over the last two years as work seemed to have stopped since a few years ago.

Judicial Commissiner Datuk Douglas Cristo Primus Sikayun on Monday granted an application by the Inland Revenue Board to wind-up the company over tax arrears amounting to more than RM8 million.
