Promoting Sabah's building designs

Kota Kinabalu: Numerous well architectural designed housing projects and other beautiful buildings will be included when promoting Sabah to the world.Disclosing this, newly appointed Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta) Goodwill Ambassador Datuk Susan Wong said she will also be setting up an official website for the world to know Sabah better.

"Capitalizing on our many well-designed housing projects and other structural buildings as an added tourist attraction will surely help further boost the local tourism industry," she said.

She said the initiative was also designed to entice foreign visitors to invest in Sabah apart from promiting the Second Home Programme of the national government.

"The qualities and architectural designs of our housing projects here are at part with those in other foreign countries, hence, its just a matter of using the right marketing strategies," the respectable local housing developer said.

As a gesture of appreciation for the Goodwill Ambassadorship title, Susan assured that she will double her efforts to promote Sabah internationally especially in countries like , China, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Brunei Darrusalam , Thailand, Vietnam, Combodia, the Philippines, and other European countries.

She will also be visiting various places in Sabah particularly in the Westcoast to identify and explore potential new tourist destinations.

"It is a given fact that Sabah is blessed with beautiful and interesting places and some with historical values... I will try my utmost to promote the inetresting places in the west coast because Semporna, Sandakan, Tawau, and Lahad Datu are already well promoted to the world," Susan added.

Susan said it is for this reason that plans are now underway to create a website for SATTA .

" I am targetting to officially launch the Satta official website by the end of this year," she stressed.

Susan's appointment was announced at the Satta annual dinner cum launching of the association's ALmanac 2016 last Saturday night.

The evening function was graced by Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
