Scheduled SESB maintenance work in S'kan

Sandakan: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) will carry out scheduled maintenance work on one of 132/33kV transformers at the Sandakan main intake substation (MIS), on Sunday.SESB, in a statement Friday, said the work was expected to take about eight hours, beginning at 7am.According to the statement, mobile generator sets would be installed at strategic points in the area as a contingency measure to increase the local electricity generation capacity.

All large power consumers such as big factories which would be operating on the day had also been informed of the matter, so they could be prepared for any supply cut to their premises if the need arose, the statement added.Consumers are urged to contact the SESB on its hotline at 15454, or 088-515000 if they experience any power outage, so that remedial action can be taken immediately.
