2 full Ministers; 4 Dy Ministers

Putra Jaya: Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak Monday announced several new ministers in a Federal Cabinet reshuffle – the third since the 2013 general election. Two are full Ministers while four are Deputy Ministers.Gerakan president, Datuk Mah Siew Keong was named the new Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, while Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan is now a Minister in the Prime Minister's Department.

Mah replaced Datuk Seri Douglas Uggah Embas who resigned to contest in the Sarawak elections and was later appointed as one of the three deputy Sarawak chief ministers.

Abdul Rahman, the former Minister of Urban Well-Being, Housing and Local Government will be in charge of the Economic Planning Unit in the PM's Department.

Abdul Rahman takes over from Tan Sri Abdul Wahid bin Omar. Tanjung Karang MP, Tan Sri Noh Omar replaces Abdul Rahman as the new Minister of Urban Well-Being, Housing and Local Government.

Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani has been promoted from Deputy Finance Minister II to Finance Minister II.

He takes over from Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah who has since resigned from his cabinet post.

"Husni informed me of his wish to retire, so I respect that. He ended his service due to personal reasons" said Najib.

In a statement from his political aide, Husni said he is also leaving as Umno treasurer, BN treasurer general, Umno Perak deputy liaison chief, Umno Tambun division chief and BN Tambun division chief. No reason was given for the resignations and attempts to contact Husni went unanswered.

An economist by training, Husni remains as MP for Tambun, a post he has held since 1995. He was previously deputy minister for internal trade and industry as well as deputy finance minister before becoming a full minister.

The premier also announced Jerlun MP, Datuk Othman Aziz and MCA vice-president, Datuk Lee Chee Leong as the new deputy Finance Ministers.

MIC deputy president and Perak state assembly speaker, Senator Datuk Seri SK Devamany is now a deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department.

MCA vice-president Datuk Chua Tee Yong who was a Deputy Finance Minister has been reappointed as the Deputy Minister for International Trade and Industry.

Silam MP Datuk Datu Nasrun Datu Mansur has been appointed as Mah's deputy (Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities).

Datuk Henry Sum Agong from Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) was named the Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism.

The first reshuffle was in June 2014 and again in July 2015 when Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi replaced Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the deputy prime minister.
