Kota Kinabalu: FIREFIGHTERS putting out a fire with thick smoke coming from the engine area of a Perodua Viva (pic) after being alerted of the incident at a parking bay of Segama Complex in Kota Kinabalu, Tuesday. It was learnt that the 26-year-old car owner left his house in Kingfisher at about 3pm to buy some goods for his small business of selling a variety of cold drinks at the Ramadan Bazaar in the city centre.

After he parked his car at about 6.30pm, he was surprised to see smoke emitting from the car engine compartment which prompted him to alight from the car. He subsequently alerted the firefighters who rushed to the scene.

No one was reported injured in the incident.
