Basri retains post as FSI President

Kota Kinabalu: Incumbent Datuk Mohd Basri was retained as Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI) President for the term 2016-2017 during its 29th Annual General Meeting on June 26 at Wisma FSM, near here. The new line-up is as follows: Datuk Mohd Basri Abd Gafar is the President while Datuk Seri Wong Khen Thau is the Honorary Life President.

The deputy presidents are Datuk Chong Hon Len (Industry Relations) and Richard Lim (General Affairs)

The six vice presidents (VPs) are Dato Harun Ismail (Oil and Gas, Packaging, Printing Services and others), Yap Cheen Boon (Food and Beverage), Sumardi Yusof (Building and Building Materials), Amy Chin (Public Policy/Training) and Dr Andrew Sim (M.I.C.E. and Membership) and Conan Teo Kay Siang (Logistics, Machinery, Auto and Auto Parts).

Athanasius Chong Chiew Khian is the Secretary General with Chin Chee Thau as the Assistant Secretary.

Wong Ten An is Honorary Treasurer with Sean Thong Yeh Siang as Assistant Treasurer.

The council members are Benjamin Lo Siew Ming, Ng Kimn Huat, Winson Choo, Johan Nasir Yeo, Jared Hwang, Natalie Fung Yin Su, Christopher Ng, Siti Noraishah Azizan and Dick Lee Pit Kong. Sharon Tsang is a co-opted member.

Phang Teck Siong and Steven S. T. Kwek are Tawau and Sandakan representatives respectively.

The honorary advisers are past presidents, Datuk John Choo Hock Ben, Datuk Alan Ang Poon Seong and Dr Jess Lim Tyng Yee.

The technical advisers for Industry Relations and General Affairs are Datuk Ng Lai Su and Datuk Mary Ling respectively.

The legal advisor is Roland Cheng Ho Wah. Pg. Dr Hassanal Bahar Pg. Bagul is the academic associate.
