Man claims trial to RM140 robbery

Kota Kinabalu: A 31-year-old man was on Tuesday charged with robbery.Mohd Noor Aziman pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Ainul Shahrin Mohamad to robbing one Low Kim Hong of RM140 at 11.01am on June 17 this year at a hotel counter in Papar.The offence, under Section 392 of the Penal Code, carries a jail term of up to 14 years and whipping, on conviction.

Ainul set Nov 21-22 this year for hearing and released Mohd Noor on a bail of RM15,000 in two local sureties.Deputy Public Prosecutor Hafizah Zahidah Abdullah appeared for the prosecution while counsel Shahlan Jufri represented Mohd Noor.
