120 expected to take part in FSI golf

Kota Kinabalu: Some 120 golfers are expected to take part in the Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI) Golf tournament to be held on July 23 at the Nexus Karambunai Resort, with the tee off time at 7.30am. Its president Datuk Mohd Basri Abd Gafar said attractive hole-in-one main, novelty prizes, lucky draws and goodie bags await the winners in the tournament themed Fun for Fund – Part III.

"The tournament is open to FSI members, NGOs, friends, men, women and individuals supporting our theme.

The funds generated will be used to fund FSI's regular activities for members," said Basri. He added that Sabah Energy Corporation (SEC) who was the first to join as life member of FSI has signed up.

The tournament will be using the System 36 Stableford Point and is open to golfers with USGA handicap of 24 for men and 36 for ladies.

The entry fee is RM350 per golfer which includes lunch and green fees, and the closing date is July 16.
