MSM appoints Mohamad Amri as CEO

Kuala Lumpur: MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd appointed Mohamad Amri Sahari as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective Tuesday, replacing the late Datuk Sheikh Awab Sheikh Abod.Mohamad Amri was MSM Deputy CEO since March 2011, the group said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia Tuesday.Prior to joining MSM, Mohamad Amri was the Acting General Manager, Procurement & Supply Services Department for Felda Palm Industries Sdn Bhd.

"I am truly honoured with this appointment and it has been my utmost priority to ensure the vision set by the late Datuk Sheikh is fulfilled," said Mohamad Amri via a statement. Mohamad Amri began his career as a Mill Engineer with Felda Palm Industries Sdn Bhd in 1989 and rose to Acting General Manager, Procurement & Supply Services within the same company. He was later promoted to Chief Executive Officer of MSM Perlis Sdn Bhd in 2004.He graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and South Dakota State University, USA, in Master of Business and Administration (Strategic Management) and Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering), respectively.
