Prepare for challenges, educators told

Keningau: All educators should always prepare for the challenges in realising the concept of education and learning in the 21st century.State Director of Education, Maimunah Suhaibul said nowadays the world of education was filled with the challenges for teachers.Therefore, teachers have to deal with thoughts and abilities of pupils that are far different from previous students.

"Now students will be proficient on the use of various gadgets and electronic equipment, so teachers as well must have the ability to use the equipment to ensure that students fully focus their attention and passion on learning," she said in conjunction with the Keningau district-level Teachers Day near here.Maimunah's speech was delivered by her deputy Datuk Dr Kassim Mohd Ibrahim.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Meanwhile, she said the Teacher's Day celebration is the government's recognition of the teaching profession in the country, especially for their contribution including retired teachers.In conjunction with that, three retired teachers in this area were awarded for their exemplary service namely the headmaster of SJKC Yuk Yin, Yen Ah Ngau Victor, SK Merampong headmaster Sajimin Sapiri and SK St Francis Xavier Evening Supervisor Madge Chong.
