Awaiting Nasir's report: Yahya

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Umno is still waiting for a full report from Umno Semporna acting chief Datuk Nasir Sakaran pertaining to the resignation of its leaders and members in the division.Deputy Chief Minister cum Umno Sabah Secretary Datuk Seri Yahya Hussin said the liaison body has yet to receive any official resignation letters from any members from the Umno Semporna."This matter is unclear because we only hear and read in the mass media of the resignation of party members and several branch chiefs in the division.

"Only Datuk Dr Jaujan Sambakong and Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal we can confirm have quit their posts and left Umno."Nonetheless, we will wait for a full report from Nasir to obtain the correct information on the matter," he said.Yahya, who is also Petagas assemblyman, said this after attending a Hari Raya Aidil Fitri Open House hosted by the Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM) Petagas here.In another development, he is pleased with the roles and activities run by UPPM Petagas.

Meanwhile, Petagas UPPM leader Ali Hussin Sharin said the unit has been coordinating 'Program Masuk Kampung' in five Mukim namely Mukim Petagas, Sailan, Putatan, Papason and Lok Kawi.

In the programme, a total of 650 people comprising senior citizens, poor people, Muslim converts, orphans and special people received Raya contributions.
