Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian Examinations Council (MEC) has announced the appointment of its Deputy Chief Executive 1 Mohd Fauzi Mohd Kassim as its new Chief Executive effective July 19. MEC in a statement Thursday said Mohd Fauzi was appointed in place of Dr Jamil Adimin who began his mandatory retirement on July 18. Mohd Fauzi who holds a Master of Education in Measurement and Assessment from Universiti Malaya, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Malay Literature from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia as well as Diploma in Education (Distinction) from Language Institute, Kuala Lumpur joined the MEC on Nov 1, 1994.

Prior to MEC, Mohd Fauzi was a teacher at Segamat High School, Johor from 1990. Mohd Fauzi has vast experience in measurement and evaluation of education at pre-university level. – Bernama
