New China Consul on trade matters

Kota Kinabalu: The Chinese Consulate here has new consul in charge of business and commerce so as to further stimulate mutual trade and investment.Li Aili was introduced by Consul General Chen Peijie to MCCC Sabah Committee, during a courtesy call led by President Datuk Frankie Liew .

Chen said the appointment is in view of increasing mutual activities and bilateral trade.

"To cater to the need, an officer responsible for business and trade affairs is a must.

"From now on, whoever wishes to inquire more on business and commerce-related issues, is welcome to contact Li," she said.

Chen also accepted an invitation to attend, as special guest, at the 3rd mccc installation ceremony on Sept 20.

During the meeting, Liew introduced the line-up and their objectives.

He hoped bilateral trade under the Belt and Road initiative would be established, and promote local products to the market in China, "We hope to match and connect investors and businesses in both countries." Liew said.
