New formula soon to resolve FAM crisis

Kuala Lumpur: A new formula would be identified to resolve problems besetting the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) lately.Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the effort was the result of an hour-long meeting with FAM president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah Tuesday. "There are several developments which I feel are very positive to give me more time to discuss with the others.

We will make an announcement after that...in two or three days," he told reporters after a meeting at Tengku Abdullah's residence in Jalan Ampang Tuesday. Khairy however, declined to comment whether there would be a meeting between Tengku Abdullah, the Tunku Mahkota of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and himself. "I do not want to comment on the matter (the meeting) but I believe this formula could bring all parties together to develop football in the country," he said.
